The Igapó Journal
Established in 2007, at the time the Federal Centre for Technological Education of Amazonas (CEFET), the Igapó journal had the mission of disseminating the scientific research developed within the institution. With CEFET's transformation into the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Amazonas (IFAM) in 2008, its scope expanded to encompass the various campuses of the Federal Education Network in Amazonas. Since then, the journal has served as an essential channel for the dissemination of knowledge produced in the region, the country, and worldwide.
Between 2007 and 2012, Igapó published a single issue annually. From 2013 onwards, it adopted a biannual periodicity, keeping pace with the growth of scientific production. Currently, the journal operates under a continuous submission model (fluxo contínuo), publishing exclusively scientific research papers, and thus consolidating its position as a reference platform for the sharing of academic knowledge.
The Igapó journal is classified as Qualis A3 in the areas of Public and Business Administration, Accounting and Tourism, Environmental Sciences, Communication and Information, Law, Economics, Education, Teaching, Geosciences, Interdisciplinary Studies, Materials Science, Chemistry, and Zootechnics/Fishery Resources for the 2017-2020 four-year period.
