GÊNEROS AMAZÔNICOS DE ERVAS-DE-PASSARINHO DA SUBTRIBO PSITTACANTHINAE (LORANTHACEAE) OCORRENTES EM ITACOATIARA-AMAZONAS

Abstract
This project aimed to expand the sampling and describe the macromorphology of the species of mistletoe of the genera of the subtribe Psittacanthianae (family Lorantheae) occurring in the region of the municipality of Itacoatiara -Amazonas. The study covered the urban and rural areas of the municipality, and collections were carried out in areas of dry land and flooded areas. The species were collected and identified with the help of specialized literature and confirmation by a specialist, and finally deposited in an indexed collection (INPA, Manaus-AM). Of the 6 genera of Psittacanthinae occurring in the Amazon, 4 have representatives in Itacoatiara: Passovia, Oryctanthus, Psittacanthus and Struthanthus. The species identified were: Passovia stelis, P. pyrifolia, P. santaremensis and P. disjectifolia; Oryctanthus alveolatus and O. florulentus; Psittacanthus cinctus and P. cucullaris; Strutanthus syringifolius. The genera can be recognized in the field when fertile by the differences in the shape of their inflorescences and flowers. Based on the dichotomous keys proposed in the literature, a key was developed for the species of the subtribe occurring in the region.
